Comment Deadline Reminder
For those who would like to comment on the proposed bombing range expansion
out in the Pamlico Sound the deadline is Friday October 31, 2008.
The reason for the expansion according to the Marine Corps is for more operational flexibility in
the use of 50 cal. machine guns mounted on patrol boats and helicopters.
At this time the Marine Corps would like to pass this through on a EA (Environmental Assessment)
with a FONSI (Finding of No Significant Impact)
Please ask that a full EIS (Environmental Impact Statement) be done on this proposed bombing range expansion.
